Tykes Academy began with a simple belief: children deserve more than just a safe place to spend their day—they deserve a warm, nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and feel truly at home.
In our early days as Kinder Tykes, we offered certified in-home care to a small group of families in Hebron, KY. The children played, explored, and learned in a cozy home setting where relationships came first. Over time, our community grew, and so did our vision. Families wanted the same trusted care but with expanded opportunities for socialization, learning, and enrichment.
That’s when we made the leap to become Tykes Academy, a Type II licensed childcare center. This transition allowed us to serve more families while maintaining the personal connection and warmth that made us special from the start.
Today, we blend the comfort of our in-home roots with the professionalism and structure of a licensed early learning program. Our Creative Curriculum® ensures children learn through play—not rote memorization—building skills in problem-solving, social-emotional regulation, and communication. We also provide diapers, wipes, healthy meals, and Kendamill® infant formula at no cost to families, removing barriers so children can thrive.
At Tykes Academy, we’re not just preparing children for kindergarten—we’re helping them develop the resilience, empathy, and confidence to flourish in every stage of life.
